Google recently announced that optimization score is now included for shopping campaigns as well. Whenever a campaign is created, Google shows an optimization score which ranges from 0% to 100% along with the customized recommendation to improve the score. The score determines how likely your campaign(or account) is likely to perform.
This is great news for shopping campaign advertisers as this would provide a sense of direction and validation for the campaign setup and management. This will ensure that the campaign is pre-optimised even before the campaign has started. Following this, advertisers can now view separate scores at the campaign level and account level.
The recommendations are available at the following level for search and shopping campaigns:
- Ads and Extensions
- Automated campaigns
- Bids and Budgets
- Keywords and Targeting
- Ad suggestions
